This
college aims to nurture the specialized and globalized
computer software professionals required in the 21st century
information-oriented society. The college teaches fundamental
computer software applications and focuses on researching
and designing new software systems.
Students are also able to acquire the necessary certification
in the fields necessary to find work in this rapidly changing
information environment. The college was established as
the Department of Computing in 1985, and changed its name
to the Department of Computer Engineering in 2000. It
then became the College of Software Engineering, and expanded
to the College of Software Engineering-Electronic Communication
in 2007. |

Introduction to the Major |
| The Computer Software Engineering Major
is an academic discipline that teaches students how to develop and
manage computer software. The development of software technology that
analyzes, designs, produces, and operates computer systems is at the
core of the program. Since computer-related equipment throughout the
world is closely connected, and information is transferred in an ubiquitous
environment and compatible with various different component types,
and security systems, students are taught about the integration of
these components . Thus, the objective of the department is to produce
personnel who can develop software that is suitable for computers
on a global scale. |
